FAQs

Why combine creatine and electrolytes?

Creatine pulls water into your muscle cells. That makes hydration important.

Each serving also has a 175mg electrolyte complex of sodium, potassium and magnesium. Warrior puts both into one daily serving, so you do not need a separate creatine product and electrolyte drink.

How long does creatine take to work?

Take one serving (½ scoop, 3g of creatine) every day. Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3g.

Keep training. Keep taking your daily serving.

How much water should I use?

Mix one serving (½ scoop) with 300–500ml of cold water.

Then keep drinking through the day. Hydration is part of getting the most from your training.

Is Warrior only for gym training?

No. Use it for lifting, running, team sports, combat sports, intervals, and other hard training.

Does it contain sugar?

No. Warrior Creatine + Electrolytes is sugar-free.

How many servings are in one tub?

112 servings. One daily serving (½ scoop) gives you 3g of creatine and the 175mg electrolyte complex.

Which flavour should I choose?

Choose the flavour you will enjoy drinking every day. Warrior comes in four flavours plus unflavoured.

Unflavoured also works in shakes or other drinks.

Do I need a loading phase?

No. Taking your daily serving consistently gradually tops up the creatine stored in your muscles over around three to four weeks. A loading phase (around 20 g a day for a week) gets there faster, but it isn't needed, and larger single doses are more likely to upset your stomach.

Should I take it before or after training?

Whenever suits you best. Studies comparing creatine taken just before or just after training have found similar results, and expert reviews conclude that taking it consistently every day matters more than the exact timing. On rest days, take your serving at any convenient time. Many people find it easiest to have it with a meal.

I missed a day. Should I double up?

No need to double up. Creatine works by gradually topping up the creatine stored in your muscles, and those stores fall slowly. Studies show they take around four to six weeks to return to normal after stopping completely, so one missed day makes very little difference. Just take your usual serving the next day and carry on. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving.

Will creatine make me bloated or gain weight?

Some people notice a small rise in weight in the first week or so, mostly water held in the muscles. It's seen mainly with high-dose “loading” of around 20 g a day. Studies using lower daily amounts over several weeks have generally not found meaningful changes in body water, and research has not found that creatine increases body fat. Large single doses (10 g or more) are more likely to upset the stomach; our recommended daily serving is well below that.

Can I take creatine with coffee?

Yes, most people can. One small 1996 study suggested very high caffeine intakes might blunt creatine during a high-dose loading phase. Later studies using coffee or caffeine have not consistently found this, and a recent expert review concluded the two are unlikely to work against each other at normal intakes. A few people report mild stomach discomfort taking them together. If that's you, take them at different times of day.

Is creatine suitable for women?

Yes. Creatine has been studied in both men and women, and the same daily serving applies. Take it every day, including rest days; there is no need to time it to your cycle. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to your GP before use.

Does creatine cause hair loss?

This worry comes from a single 2009 study of 20 rugby players taking high doses, which found a rise in DHT, a hormone linked to male-pattern hair loss. That study didn't measure hair. A 2025 randomised controlled trial in men taking 5 g a day for 12 weeks found no difference in DHT, hair density or hair thickness compared with a placebo. Research has not found that creatine causes hair loss, though studies are limited. If you're concerned about hair loss, speak to your GP.

Does creatine harm your kidneys?

Studies in healthy adults taking recommended amounts have not found that creatine harms kidney function. Creatine can raise creatinine, the marker used in routine blood tests to estimate kidney function, so results can appear lower than they really are. If you're having a kidney blood test, tell your doctor you take creatine. If you have a kidney condition, diabetes or high blood pressure, take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are under 18, speak to your GP before use.

The Mechanism

Why creatine + electrolytes beats creatine alone

01

Creatine alone is leaky

Creatine crosses into muscle via a sodium-dependent transporter (CRT-1). Without sodium and chloride ions, uptake measurably collapses — Dai (1999) recorded a 47% drop when those ions are missing.

CRT-1

02

Electrolytes open the door

Two sodium ions plus one chloride move with each creatine molecule — confirmed by Yang et al. (2025) cryo-EM. The electrolyte complex isn’t a flavour add-on; it’s part of the absorption mechanism.

2Na⁺ + Cl⁻

03

Stacked, the data is louder

Hummer (2019): creatine + electrolytes drove +13.4% back squat 1RM and +26% concentric work over six weeks vs placebo. Crisafulli (2018) independently replicated +4–5% cycling power.

+13.4% 1RM

Hydration is half the job

175mg of electrolytes, in every scoop

2%

Body-mass dehydration is all it takes to measurably impair attention, memory and mood (Adan, J Am Coll Nutr 2012).

47%

Drop in creatine uptake when sodium and chloride ions are missing — the transport mechanism needs the minerals (Dai 1999).

~60%

Higher whole-body creatine retention when co-ingested so insulin and ion gradients are working for you, not against you (Green 1996).

What you sweat out, back in the scoop

Na⁺ Sodium

The uptake driver

Drives fluid absorption and is the ion the CRT-1 creatine transporter depends on. It’s also the electrolyte you lose most in sweat — the reason hydration brands build whole products around it.

K⁺ Potassium

The balance keeper

Works opposite sodium to maintain fluid balance inside cells and support normal muscle contraction — including the one that matters most, your heart.

Mg²⁺ Magnesium

The work-horse mineral

Contributes to normal muscle function, electrolyte balance and reduced tiredness and fatigue — and it’s one of the minerals hard training runs down fastest.

The First Month

What’s happening in your body

Muscle saturation

~25%

When to scoop

Four windows. One serving fits all.

Half a scoop · 300–500ml cold water

01

Foggy mornings

Brain fuel for the hard days

Gordji-Nejad (2024): a single creatine dose before 21 hours of sleep deprivation raised brain phosphocreatine, dropped subjective fatigue and beat baseline processing speed.

02

Pre-training

Strength and power

Half a scoop in 300–500ml of cold water, 30–60 minutes before. Hummer (2019): +13.4% back squat 1RM and +26% concentric work over six weeks vs placebo.

03

Post-training

Recovery and retention

Co-ingesting creatine with carbs raises whole-body retention ~60% (Green 1996) — and the electrolyte complex keeps the ion gradients running so more of what you take lands in muscle.

04

Daily maintenance

The unsexy one that matters most

Half a scoop, every day, rest days included. The long-tail benefits only show up if you stay saturated — and the ISSN position stand supports long-term daily use as safe.

Timing

Take it at a consistent time. Most people take it in the morning, or before/after training.

Results

Benefits typically show in 2–3 weeks, with full saturation around week 4.

Loading

No loading phase required. A standard 3g daily serving reaches saturation without GI discomfort or water-weight spikes.

Backed by Science
“Creatine monohydrate is the most tested supplement in sport — decades of peer-reviewed evidence behind one effect: more output in short, hard efforts. The practical challenge was never the evidence. It was making the habit simple enough to keep. Pairing the proven 3g dose with the electrolytes that drive its own transporter solves both at once.”

But too sweet for me It's very lemony __, as it should be.It mixes well, the texture is a little gritty at the end but not much really. I can confirm it is effective and works as intended. Brain functions better and energy levels lift for me.If taken as directed 3.7g at a time it will last for 80 portions. Comes with electrolytes and I have to confirm they do not spoil the taste. It is a nit too sweet for me, I think I prefer tasteless version.I hope my review and photos were helpful __ Flavour: Citrus Blast

Great Taste & Easy Daily Creatine + Electrolytes Option Been using the Warrior Creatine + Electrolyte (Mixed Berry) for a couple weeks now and really liking it. Mixes well, tastes good without being too sweet, not a strange texture like most combined supplements and it’s nice having the electrolytes added in especially after workouts. Gives me a solid daily creatine option without needing multiple supplements. Combining two supplements together at a good price and feeling the positive effects from both is a game changer. Definitely easy to stick with and definitely recommend. Flavour: Mixed Berry

A smooth non tangy citrus flavour A scoop is included, which is supposed to measure a serving size of 4.5g. Providing 3.7g of creatine monohydrate. Using appropriate weighing scales is likely to yield a more accurate measurement. The tub contains 360g. Providing 80 servings. Where the directions state to consume once per day. Ordered during April 2026. When priced at £19.99. Making each serving ~25p. At the time of finalising my review, the price has lowered to £15.38 for a one time purchase. Making a serving cost of ~19p. Both prices means this supplement has a far lower cost per serving than many other electrolytes powders.I have made up a drink with 500ml of water within a protein shaker bottle, and used higher quantities of water for other drinks. The citrus flavour is smooth and not a sharp taste. With a reasonable flavour intensity. The powder mixes fairly well. Further shakes of the bottle are needed because some powder does eventually settle. With any remaining powder I add a bit more water and shake & immediately consume. I would suggest using something like between 500ml and 1 litre of water with each serving of powder. To get a reasonable flavour and intake of liquid.Initially a security seal was in place across the opening of the tub.Printed on the lid of the tub is a Lot number and a best before end date of October 2028. A very long shelf life for the item I received during April 2026. Flavour: Citrus Blast
