FAQs
Do I need a loading phase?
No. Taking your daily serving consistently gradually tops up the creatine stored in your muscles over around three to four weeks. A loading phase (around 20 g a day for a week) gets there faster, but it isn't needed, and larger single doses are more likely to upset your stomach.
Should I take it before or after training?
Whenever suits you best. Studies comparing creatine taken just before or just after training have found similar results, and expert reviews conclude that taking it consistently every day matters more than the exact timing. On rest days, take your serving at any convenient time. Many people find it easiest to have it with a meal.
I missed a day. Should I double up?
No need to double up. Creatine works by gradually topping up the creatine stored in your muscles, and those stores fall slowly. Studies show they take around four to six weeks to return to normal after stopping completely, so one missed day makes very little difference. Just take your usual serving the next day and carry on. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving.
Will creatine make me bloated or gain weight?
Some people notice a small rise in weight in the first week or so, mostly water held in the muscles. It's seen mainly with high-dose βloadingβ of around 20 g a day. Studies using lower daily amounts over several weeks have generally not found meaningful changes in body water, and research has not found that creatine increases body fat. Large single doses (10 g or more) are more likely to upset the stomach; our recommended daily serving is well below that.
Can I take creatine with coffee?
Yes, most people can. One small 1996 study suggested very high caffeine intakes might blunt creatine during a high-dose loading phase. Later studies using coffee or caffeine have not consistently found this, and a recent expert review concluded the two are unlikely to work against each other at normal intakes. A few people report mild stomach discomfort taking them together. If that's you, take them at different times of day.
Is creatine suitable for women?
Yes. Creatine has been studied in both men and women, and the same daily serving applies. Take it every day, including rest days; there is no need to time it to your cycle. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to your GP before use.
Does creatine cause hair loss?
This worry comes from a single 2009 study of 20 rugby players taking high doses, which found a rise in DHT, a hormone linked to male-pattern hair loss. That study didn't measure hair. A 2025 randomised controlled trial in men taking 5 g a day for 12 weeks found no difference in DHT, hair density or hair thickness compared with a placebo. Research has not found that creatine causes hair loss, though studies are limited. If you're concerned about hair loss, speak to your GP.
Does creatine harm your kidneys?
Studies in healthy adults taking recommended amounts have not found that creatine harms kidney function. Creatine can raise creatinine, the marker used in routine blood tests to estimate kidney function, so results can appear lower than they really are. If you're having a kidney blood test, tell your doctor you take creatine. If you have a kidney condition, diabetes or high blood pressure, take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are under 18, speak to your GP before use.

270g small tub of Creatine with Essential Amino Acids from Warrior Supplements.
This is a 270g small tub of Creatine + Essential Amino Acids from Warrior Supplements. Warrior is a reasonably known brand name in the field of sports supplements in the UK. They are a go-to trustworthy brand and seem to be getting quite creative in the world of supplements. All of Warrior's supplements are manufactured in the UK with European-sourced ingredients.Creatine + Essential Amino Acids is part of their Creatine Plus Collection, where Warrior are supplementing Creatine with another supplement or set of supplements. As you would expect, you have to pay the premium for the convenience of having the added Essential Amino Acids to the daily dose of Creatine. At its normal price of Β£17.99 for 30 servings (i.e. a month's worth of supplement), this could be considered quite expensive. However, if you need that level of convenience and are happy to pay for it, this would be an ideal purchase.

Easy to use , unflavoured , convenient 30 servings
Creatine Monohydrate Plus EAA - unflavoured , from Warrior .One scoop use , mixes fairly well , some clumping , no flavour intrusion which is great so you can add to favourite juice . A few powdery bits at the end but easy to drink.Provides what I need , 30 servings ,so fairly average value and comes in sturdy screw lidded pot for storage .The best before date was smudged but manufacture was February so should be good for a while yet but will be used quickly anyway .

Decent ingredient list, but unreadable expiry
If you workout fasted like I do, I would highly recommend supplementing with creatine and EAAβs (from L-Leucine to L-Tryptophan) beforehand to help with energy, which this does decently well.In each serving (9 grams) you have 3.2 grams of creatine which isnβt perfect, but fine for me if you have a diet that covers most the rest. The powder mixes well in water and the unflavoured one is easy enough to keep down with no nasty aftertaste.Considering its ingredients I believe the RRP is on the high side for a 270 grams tub, although the current discount voucher certainly helps. There is one glaring issue preventing me recommending it however and that is the poor tub printing, with the expiry date unreadable so I can't even tell if its expired.

Really is tasteless
I got this for my adult son who lives at the gym. He's a very fussy eater and won't eat or drink anything with flavours he doesn't like. We have tried a few 'unflavoured' ones but they are either too gritty or have a powdery taste etc so he won't take them. This one is actually tasteless (finally!), plus it dissolves fairly well in water. There are still a few bits left but they're small enough not to cause him any problems. He's taken it for 2 days in a row now so too early to tell if it makes a difference but the fact he's found one he can tale is great. You get a large tub of 270g, and the recommended dose is 9g a day so this tub will last a month. The tub does look half empty when you open it but I weighed it and there is the right amount in there.

keep asking for feedback, didn't really want to give any but .. terrible, 13 bars arrived burst open, a full box not usable, i have returned these, still waiting for a replacement over a week later,? packaging terrible on the whole , all just placed in a big box and posted, no protection at all.
hmmmm feedback for other order ... none, it was next day delivery, still hasn't arrived a week later, cant give feedback on something ive not even recieved yet via nex day delivery, not happy at all.
great products, great prices, unbelievably terrible company and terrible customer service, terrible postage, terrible experience overall
Arrived well sealed
You have to dig around in the mixture to find the scoop. Comes with a 10g scoop which i throw into a glass of smoothie, stir well and your good to go. Asides from a bit of a rough texture, there is no flavour to it as far as I can tell.

Warrior creatine powder
Warrior is a trusted brand, and this creatine powder doesnβt disappoint. The mixed berry flavour tastes great, mixes easily and helps with energy levels while training and post-workout recovery. A reliable, no-fuss supplement for anyone serious about their training

Didn't know what to expect, was very surprised!
I've had creatine reccommended to me for a while now, and I had a chance to try this, so I did. I was very surprised! If you're new to creatine, know that it doesn't dissolve easily. I found stirring it into a cup with a spoon kinda works. It's got a gritty texture and an awful bitter taste that I wasn't expecting at all.It won't take effect on day one, you'll need to take it daily for a couple of weeks before you notice any difference. Read the label and do a little research. It probably won't take any time off a half marathon, but I found I had more power in short burst activites. It might be a coincidence, but the distance I can swim in an hour increased by 28% over the first couple of weeks I was taking it. Now that's value for money!Maybe look at a flavoured version, unless you know what you're expecting here. I can't really tell you just how bitter the taste is, it needs some form of flavour on top of it. Drinking with a little squash helped a bit.

Unflavoured but still has a weird aftertaste.
This states to be unflavoured but I am detecting a very odd aftertaste and I'm not keen on it.It dissolves easily so that's a plus. It also feels effective after a workout pass.

reasonable creatine offering and i like that they added essential aminos too
its a reasonable dose of creatine along with a mix of different aminos. went for the unflavoured one because i prefer things plain and natural and i really don't mind the taste of straight protein or creatine powders.. so for me this was a decent pick. love that they have an unflavoured offering. as when I'm getting whey i always go for natural ones too without any flavours. so that's good for me. the powder itself mixes in well, i gave it a decent shake and it dissolved without leaving gritty bits which was a relief as I've had that issue before with other brands. its fine enough that it dissolves right away anyway like that but i like that i can mix it in a mug with a teaspoon or something like that if my shaker is in the dishwasher.. Taste wise its basically nothing, a faint chalkiness maybe, but nothing that put me off and it actually makes it easier for me to throw into other drinks or even just plain water but i usually go with milk.. I've been using it alongside my training and I do think it helps with recovery.. dosage is easy with the scoop. For value I think its great considering the blend, as getting creatine and the different essential aminos together which saves buying them separate.. happy with it and will continue taking it and it is something that could be a repeat purchase as seems like the way to go for taking creatine to have the different essential aminos together with it as always with creatine make sure to drink plenty of water too which is something i do after reading up about it before

weird taste thatβs easy to mix in
this pack of creatine comes in another decent price. However, I found the taste of it to be a bit odd and a bit too artificial compared to other brands that Iβve tried. this is not a dealbreaker as the test goes away when itβs mixed in with another flavoured milkshake, but if youβre trying to have this with water alone, itβll be a bit hot to swallow.

Avoid unflavoured version
Tried both Unflavoured and Mixed Berry variants.Unflavoured:Opened the container and it smelled like boiled feet. That wasn't the main issue however, it was the taste. Never have I ever had creatine so bitter. Even tried mixing it with bananas, berries, milk and cereal, protein powder and even sugar! Could not stomach it. 1/5Mixed Berries:Already a huge improvement from the smell. A pleasant cheap-candy smell from my childhood, so bonus points for nostalgia. The taste is a slight improvement over the unflavoured one, but still pretty bitter. If you had to choose, absolutely pick the Mixed Berries and split your daily dose of creatine into two, to avoid a large concentration of bitterness.

Good product
I have had other Warrior products before and was excited to try this Creatine Monohydrate with added EAA. Normally I just take Creatine Monohydrate mixed with my overnight oats for breakfast, but I don't feel that was really working for me as my workouts were normally later in the day. Also now that I am increasing weights I was looking for something to help increase muscle recovery.I went with unflavoured as with any creatine that I take. Mixed it with my electrolyte powder. It mixed well, it didn't add any extra taste. So far I have tried before, during and after workouts. I would say for me personally, taking before my workout seemed to be the better option, I noticed that I was able to push a little more than I normally could and DOMS didn't hang around as long as normal. The only negative for me and this is a personal one as it might not happen to everyone, it does seem to bloat me a little. The price seems a little expensive for the size of the tub. Β£17.99 for 270g is a little on the high end of the market for creatine, but I guess if you were buying separate tubs of similar size Creatine and EAA, it would work out the same.

Smooth Mix, No Fuss
I appreciate the idea of combining creatine and EAAs in one productβvery practical if youβre streamlining your supplement stack. The creatine dose is slightly lower than what I typically use (3.2g vs 5g), but with added EAAs it makes sense for lighter days or recovery focus. Iβve used it pre and post workout, mixes easily, no residue left in the shaker, and no side effects so far. I chose the unflavoured version to avoid artificial sweeteners, though I did notice it contains an anti-caking agentβsomething I could do without, but not a dealbreaker.Early signs are good in terms of reduced DOMS and general performance consistency. This isnβt some miracle powder, but it does the job quietly and efficiently.

Great for the Price- Recommended
Hubby has used Warrior brand for quite a few workout related supplements and powders previously and always found them great value for quality supplements. He's been taking creatine for years as finds it very effective for boosting his gains and this one is great as it includes EAA too and mixes very easily. Plus as it has no taste to speak of or nasty smell you can easily mix it into your other workout powders so would definitely recommend as good value and no issues.

A bit gritty, but gets the job done
Iβve been using this creatine and EAA powder for a couple of weeks and it mixes easily in water, even though itβs unflavoured and a bit gritty. Thereβs no strong taste, so it doesnβt mess with shakes or juices. Iβve noticed less muscle soreness after workouts and I feel a bit more recovered the next day. The scoop is a decent size and the tub actually gives you the 30 servings as advertised. Itβs not packed with extras, just straightforward creatine and essential aminos, so itβs a good pick if you want something simple to help with recovery and strength without any added sweeteners or flavours.

Creatine powder
At the time of writing this review, the price is Β£13.99.This creatine + EAA blend has been a solid addition to my workout routine. It mixes easily with water or shakes, and being unflavoured makes it super versatileβno weird aftertaste or clashing with other supplements.Iβve noticed improved muscle recovery and less soreness post-training, especially on heavy lifting days. Itβs also great knowing Iβm getting both creatine and essential aminos in one scoop. Perfect for pre or post-workoutβsimple, effective, and no-nonsense. Will definitely be buying again.

Taste like nothing, dissolves well.
I've been using creatine for a while and have tried a few different brands. This is one of the better ones.As far as taste goes: what can I say? It's unflavoured. One thing I can say is that it doesn't seem "powdery" once you've given it a good shake and it's all dissolved into the water. I've had a few brands which seem like they won't dissolve at all, but thankfully this one avoids that curse.Price-wise it's quite fair I feel considering how much you get in the tub.Good stuff.

Delicious, Effective, and Clean Recovery Support
This mixed berry EAA+ powder is fantastic. The flavour is genuinely enjoyableβfruity, refreshing, and not overly sweet. It mixes easily with water and doesnβt leave any gritty residue. In terms of performance, it delivers exactly what I need for recovery and muscle support, especially on training days. I also really appreciate the clean ingredient profileβno unnecessary fillers or junk.Tastes great, works well, and feels like a high-quality supplement. Definitely a staple in my routine now!

Does the job and no taste
Warrior Creatine mixes well and has no strong taste, which makes it easy to add to shakes or water. Iβve noticed better recovery and strength gains since using it. The price is very reasonable for the amount you get, and it feels like a clean, effective product. Definitely a staple in my supplement stack.

struggles a bit to dissolve
This is a bit clumpy, it doesn't necessarily dissolve easily. Taste is pretty much as expected; it tastes like creatine powder. Not amazing, but no worse than any other. Overall fairly easy to use, comes with a scoop, (2 scoops = 9g serving). I'd get it again but it's not my all time favourite.

Creatine monohydrate
Good unflavoured creatine monohydrate powder with the a low amount of creatine for daily intake in each portion (3.7 grams provided versus the 5g recommended). Easy to mix, and stir in water, it doesn't leave any clumps
