Do I need a loading phase?
No. Taking your daily serving consistently gradually tops up the creatine stored in your muscles over around three to four weeks. A loading phase (around 20 g a day for a week) gets there faster, but it isn't needed, and larger single doses are more likely to upset your stomach.
Should I take it before or after training?
Whenever suits you best. Studies comparing creatine taken just before or just after training have found similar results, and expert reviews conclude that taking it consistently every day matters more than the exact timing. On rest days, take your serving at any convenient time. Many people find it easiest to have it with a meal.
I missed a day. Should I double up?
No need to double up. Creatine works by gradually topping up the creatine stored in your muscles, and those stores fall slowly. Studies show they take around four to six weeks to return to normal after stopping completely, so one missed day makes very little difference. Just take your usual serving the next day and carry on. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving.
Will creatine make me bloated or gain weight?
Some people notice a small rise in weight in the first week or so, mostly water held in the muscles. It's seen mainly with high-dose βloadingβ of around 20 g a day. Studies using lower daily amounts over several weeks have generally not found meaningful changes in body water, and research has not found that creatine increases body fat. Large single doses (10 g or more) are more likely to upset the stomach; our recommended daily serving is well below that.
Can I take it with coffee?
Yes, most people can. One small 1996 study suggested very high caffeine intakes might blunt creatine during a high-dose loading phase. Later studies using coffee or caffeine have not consistently found this, and a recent expert review concluded the two are unlikely to work against each other at normal intakes.
Creatine Plus Energy already contains 80 mg of caffeine per serving, roughly one espresso, so count it towards your daily total. General guidance for healthy adults is no more than 400 mg of caffeine a day, and 200 mg if you are pregnant. If coffee and creatine together upset your stomach, take them at different times of day.
Is creatine suitable for women?
Yes. Creatine has been studied in both men and women, and the same daily serving applies. Take it every day, including rest days; there is no need to time it to your cycle. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to your GP before use.
Does creatine cause hair loss?
This worry comes from a single 2009 study of 20 rugby players taking high doses, which found a rise in DHT, a hormone linked to male-pattern hair loss. That study didn't measure hair. A 2025 randomised controlled trial in men taking 5 g a day for 12 weeks found no difference in DHT, hair density or hair thickness compared with a placebo. Research has not found that creatine causes hair loss, though studies are limited. If you're concerned about hair loss, speak to your GP.
Does creatine harm your kidneys?
Studies in healthy adults taking recommended amounts have not found that creatine harms kidney function. Creatine can raise creatinine, the marker used in routine blood tests to estimate kidney function, so results can appear lower than they really are. If you're having a kidney blood test, tell your doctor you take creatine. If you have a kidney condition, diabetes or high blood pressure, take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are under 18, speak to your GP before use.

Good all in one pre-workout with additional B-vitamins This is a good pre-workout powder which mixes well when added to water and has a pleasant berry flavour that is very enjoyable with some ice cubes added to it.The active ingredient breakdown for this is solid with additional B-vitamins that I usually have to buy separately from my usual multivitamin that doesnβt include them, although these are on the lower end for certain ingredients such as creatine and caffeine. In particular, I would have liked to have seen more caffeine in there as it would only be enough for when Iβm cycling back on creatine (I usually have at least double the 80mg). I also would have liked some additional ingredients such as beta-alynine and trimethylglycine powder which I have found particularly effective in pre-workouts.For a pre-workout drink with 80 servings (and a March 2028 BBE) the price is very reasonable, even if it is on the lighter end active ingredient wise than I would like. Overall, I would recommend it if you are someone who likes/needs a minimal amount of caffeine. Flavour: Mixed Berry

Dissolves really well Lovely addition to my warrior collection. Great for that energy pre-work out and it definitely tastes better (still unsatisfyingly synthetic as anyone who takes creatine is pretty used to) but I can say the best advise would be to MIX WITH JUICE(especially if you're like me and can't really tolerate that synthetic taste)Can feel it kick in within the hour (mostly that caffeine) and then creatine does the rest, helping with great muscle gains.I've had no bowel Symptoms or other side effects using this, so that's great, oh and it dissolves without a hassleLove it Flavour: Mixed Berry

Feeling stronger, more energy. Win Win. One of the best supplements you can take. We all now know the benefits of taking creatine and this did not disappoint. Follow the instructions to get the full effects. More energy when training. Feeling stronger. The benefits go on. Taste is what you expect from taking creatine. It's not too bad. Value for money is excellent . It dissolves easily. And the texture is a little gritty but not offensive. Again another product I would recommend. Flavour: Mixed Berry

Awful sweetness Got the citrus blast, it masks the bitter taste of the creatine well, but tastes super artificially sweet. Wouldn't buy again due to the flavour alone, but if you like it then it's alright. Flavour: Citrus Blast

A fine tasting creatine/caffeine blend with added B vitamins This supplement blend allows you to get in your daily creatine, a pre-workout hit, and some B vitamins all at the same time.To begin with, it tastes fine. I wouldn't say it's nice and I wouldn't say it's awful, it's just fine. Like most supplements, it tastes like a strong squash covering a supplement's note-so-great taste.Second, the quantities are OK, but personally I need to almost double them up. 80mg of caffeine and 3.5grams of creatine is around 60% of what I typically take and so I generally have 1.5-1.75 scoops. I'd also say that you are forced to take this before a workout or in the morning as the caffeine will keep you up if taking it at night. The alternative is to have a plain creatine powder, but that sort of defeats the point for many, I'd guess.I think for those wanting a creatine supplement they can take before workouts then this is a good option. It tastes OK and has decent enough quantities for many - for those who want more it's easy to boost the dosage slightly to arrive at what you need. Flavour: Mixed Berry

Good energy booster This pre-workout seems relatively mild. It gave me a little buzz and tasted ok, but wasn't overly powerful. For me this is ideal and I don't like it too strong. The flavour is nice and not too strong either. Flavour: Mixed Berry

Works well! I've been using this creatine + caffeine mix for a few weeks now, and it's been solid. The combo gives a nice energy kick without going overboard-good for early workouts. It mixes pretty easily in water, and I like that it includes B vitamins for focus and recovery. It's definitely helped with stamina and getting through longer sessions. Just be aware of the caffeine if you're already having coffee or other pre-workouts-it adds up. Overall, a convenient all-in-one option if you want creatine with a bit of a boost. A caffeine boost with your creatine This product mixes really easily and does not sit to grainy on the bottom of your shaker. It has a really nice berry flavour and you get a great caffeine boost alongside your creatine. It is a great to use in a cycle but also just prior to exercise to give you that booster performance. Overall I would highly recommend it. Flavour: Mixed Berry

Good boost before workouts with a solid mix of energy and recovery support I tried this creatine + energy combo as a way to ease back into training and give myself a bit of a boost without going full throttle on high-stim pre-workouts. The mixed berry flavour is decent β sweet, but not overpowering, and it mixes fairly well with water. No weird chalky bits at the bottom, which is always a win.Itβs definitely got a bit of a kick from the caffeine, but not enough to make you jittery (unless youβre really sensitive). It gives a noticeable lift in energy and focus, and I found I was able to push through longer sessions without feeling wiped halfway through. The creatine content makes it a handy all-in-one, especially if you're keeping your supplement routine simple. As for recovery, itβs hard to measure directly, but I havenβt felt as sore the next day compared to training without anything β so Iβd say itβs doing its job. Itβs also good that it includes some vitamins, although Iβd still treat that as a bonus rather than a replacement for your usual nutrition. One thing to watch out for: the caffeine means itβs not ideal for late evening workouts unless you fancy lying in bed staring at the ceiling. And while the tub says 80 servings, that depends on how much youβre using β some might find they need a bit more for a proper pre-workout buzz.Overall, itβs a solid choice if you want a pre-workout that covers energy, creatine, and some recovery support in one go. Convenient, good value, and a decent flavour to top it off. Flavour: Mixed Berry

Some day I feel energised and ready for my morning workouts but feel drained after and this helps revitalise me to take on the day.Nice berry taste. The powder is fine in texture and mixes easily. I take 5 grams a day, its definitely helped increase my workout stamina and has numerous addition health benefits. Good value / quality for money. Flavour: Mixed Berry

Excellent effects with an ok flavour if you don't mind synthetic tastes Previously I've taken creatine as unflavoured and just added it to protein shakes to blend it all in and make it easy to transport and drink but I thought I'd give this a try as an alternative method. As with all sugar free flavoured powders this does have that standard synthetic taste, not overly noticeable but there all the same so if you're looking for a tasty drink that powers your exercise routine this may not be what you're looking for, if you enjoy the synthetic taste of powdered drinks then this may well be right up your street. As far as working for an increase in energy and alertness and aiding with muscle recovery goes it does what you'd expect, standard creatine/caffeine combo that hits the spot and keeps your training going with minimal downtime, just keep an eye on your caffeine intake as this has a fair amount in each serving so don't drink too many espressos at the same time or you'll be floating round your house at night like a hummingbird wondering why you can't sleep!Overall this does the job, it gives you a boost for workouts and staves off fatigue afterwards but as for the flavour I'd say it's personal preference but I will probably stick to unflavoured versions and just blend them into my shakes. Flavour: Mixed Berry

Palatable creatine and energy supplement (slightly chalky) This creatine and caffeine combo seems to do the trick for me, giving me a noticeable energy boost to complement my exercise. The mixed berry flavour is okay, if a bit artificial (it's sweet in a synthetic sort of way - think cheap squash rather than fresh fruit). At 80 servings per tub it's great value, though the macho branding may not suit everyone (if you listen to Joe Rogan, youβll probably love it!) - it's just creatine, not rocket fuel. While it won't magically transform you into an athlete, it does seem to help with stamina during sessions and recovery afterwards, at least in my experience. Just be prepared to give your drink a good shake before each use unless you fancy chewing your supplement, particularly as it has a tendency to settle. Flavour: Mixed Berry

Great Tasting Creatine This creatine works really well for my husband for his pre-workout and after he has been at the gym. I like that itβs very easy for him to use and I feel that itβs got good quality ingredients in it. My husband really likes the taste and flavour and itβs working exactly as itβs supposed to for him. Iβm pleased with the amount that comes in the tub because itβs very good value for money. Itβs also easy to store and smells nice. I think this creatine is well worth getting so I highly recommend it. My husband hasnβt had any issues or problems with using it at all, so it gets a thumbs up from us. Flavour: Mixed Berry

Delicious! My partner and I have been taking working out quite seriously and this supplement has been aiding us in our performance whilst working out (we feel we could push ourselves further than before). It is very easy to mix into water, it dissolves fairly well (we put it in those protein mixing bottles that have a little ball inside to shake the powder around). The flavour is lovely and would recommend chilling the water a bit for a fresher flavour. Very happy with the results and quality. Recommended. Flavour: Mixed Berry

Good for Pre-Workouts! Iβve been using this creatine blend with added caffeine as a pre-workout, and itβs slotted into my routine quite well. The mixed berry flavour is pleasant without being overly sweet, and it mixes smoothly with water, leaving no gritty residue. The combination of creatine and caffeine provides a noticeable boost in energy and focus during workouts, helping me push through more intense sessions. I appreciate that it also includes B vitamins, which support energy metabolism. While the caffeine content is moderate, I find it best to use earlier in the day to avoid any impact on sleep. Overall, itβs a convenient and effective supplement that supports both performance and recovery. Flavour: Mixed Berry

The flavour is very subtle A 10ml scoop is provided. I seem to get about 6.2g from a flat compressed scoop of this product, using the included scoop. I therefore recommend weighing out a 4.5g serving measure with decent scales. It is not specified as to how much liquid to mix the powder into. The blurb states it can be added to any drink. To try out the mixed berry flavour I tried it with 150ml of cold water. The flavour did taste of berries, but was weak and watery too. There is a fine gritty texture to the beverage as well. Which is to be expected from creatine powder supplements.Printed on the top of the lid is a Lot/batch number and a BBE date of Feb. Unfortunately the month and year information has rubbed away prior to me receiving it. There is also some other warning about contents containing, but this is partially rubbed away too. The print needs improving for future batches because it wipes away with a light fingernail scratch or rub with a little water. I have used this brand before and being a new product I think the BBE date is likely to be Feb 2026 or 2027. Either way. Having received it during May 2025, there are several months to use it up in.No adverse reactions or unwanted side effects experienced.A security seal was in place across the opening of the tub for peace of mind and added freshness. New to creatine and am happy with this so far. I am taking this now as I get back into exercise. This seems to give me some energy and stamina as I do hill climbing. I am hoping this also helps with muscle recovery as itβs supposed to. It seems like good value for money. The scoop measure is tiny and you get 80 scoops per tub. Works out at 23p per scoop. It mixes ok with water but does leave a little residue which you can easily swirl around and swallow. The verry taste is similar to that I have used for electrolytes so I am ok with the artificial taste. Not that keen on the branding as itβs a little OTT. Clearly aimed at the male customer base. Overall am happy with this supplement. Flavour: Mixed Berry

Effective product, divisive taste I used Warrior creatine before and found it to be an easy to use, effective supplement.First time I've tried a flavoured one. You can taste the berry , it has a nice sweet smell but I will say it has a divisive aftertaste. I wasn't too keen but my partner liked it. Might be better mixed with some juice rather than just water, but you might like it as is. Flavour: Mixed Berry

Good value This is a review of "Warrior Creatine Monohydrate Powder + Energy 360g - Formulated as a Pre Workout to Fuel Performance and Support Muscle Recovery - Contains Caffeine & Vitamins - 80 Servings (Mixed Berry)"Comes in a brightly-coloured plastic screw-top tub, with a security seal inside and a little scoop. The powder seems a little harder than some others I have tried, but not a major issue, just needs a few more shakes. The mixed berry flavour is nice. This seems to be a variation on a similar product I have recently tried, only with caffeine and extra vitamins added and without the electrolytes. At just under 18 quid (at time of review) it's slightly more expensive than the other variety, but still good value for 80 servings. Workout boost I usually have my creatine and preworkout separately but this 2 in 1 makes it that much more convenient to have. This mixed well in my shaker bottle and the flavour is alright. I do feel like I have more energy and my strength output is gradually improving shown in my lifts. I've reduced my recovery time between sets and I'm still able to maintain close to the same reps on every set. What else can I say, it's effective so I'll continue taking it. Flavour: Mixed Berry

Mixes well, sweet berry flavour Warrior Creatine Monohydrate Powder + Energy 360gThis version of creatine is a fine powder. You should add one 4.5mg scoop to 200 ml of water, totalling 80 servings, overall.According to research, 5mg is the maximum advised daily dose for creatine, and each serving is 3.5mg.The powder mixes well in a shaker, with no clumps or grainy particles, and the berry flavour is sweet. While there is no information about this product being certified on the seller page, Warrior Creatine is a well-known and reliable brand. What I like about this version is that it contains multiple added vitamins. I'm not so keen on the 80mg of caffeine used to create the energy, however. My partner loves using creatine; it's his go-to supplement above all others. He says he has a significant energy boost for his workouts, and this creatine works well.Overall, a decent supplement for the price, and it's well-presented in a sealed container. I can't confirm the shelf life as the last number isn't visible, but it states Feb 2?. Flavour: Mixed Berry
