Activation Tour Lead
Role Description
We’re excited to introduce this brand-new role as part of the continued growth of our fast-paced marketing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the business at an exciting time and play a key role in shaping and supporting future marketing activity. The Tour Lead is the face of Warrior on the road. They drive the van, manage the day, look after the crew, build the run-club partnerships, and make sure every stop produces sampling volume AND content the in-house brand team can edit. Half driver-logistics-manager, half on-camera brand ambassador. This is a 4 month FTC with the possibility of becoming a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving the wrapped van between cities and between activations within a city. Long hours behind the wheel some days; in city at others.
- Running the day end-to-end: parking, setup, sampling, content capture, pack-down. Typical day is 8–12 hours, varied start times (parkrun mornings start at 06:30; race-day ambushes can run to 16:00).
- Building and maintaining run-club partnerships in each tour city. You’ll be Warrior’s representative at Friday-evening run-club meets. The Marketing Events Coordinator hands these over once confirmed; you keep them warm.
- Sampling in Gyms at peak hours (16:00–19:00). Liaising with gym managers, selling products and speaking to members about our products.
- Capturing content, uploading to cloud daily for the in-house brand team to edit. You’re the camera — they’re the editor.
- Being comfortable on camera. Some content will feature the crew directly: short walk-and-talk pieces, sampling moments, Q&A, race-day reactions. We don’t need a presenter — we need someone who looks natural with a camera pointed at them.
- Managing the Brand Ambassador on shift — flow at the truck, sample volumes, breaks, daily debrief with the Marketing Events Coordinator.
- Daily expense and mileage reconciliation through the Marketing Events Coordinator.
Required Skills
- Full clean UK driving licence, held for at least 2 years, no more than 3 points. Insurance is commercial fleet — clean licence is non-negotiable.
- Confident driving a van-sized vehicle for 4–6 hours at a stretch on UK motorways.
- Strong interpersonal skills — you’ll be having 100+ short conversations a day with consumers, plus weekly relationship-building with run-club captains and gym managers.
- Comfortable on camera. We don’t need a polished presenter, we need someone unselfconscious.
- Right to work in the UK for the full contract duration (1 June – 5 October 2026).
- Available for the full 18-week tour window, including weekends. This works on a 7 days on 7 days off rota.
- Physically capable of setting up the rig (canopy panels, flags, gazebo) — some lifting up to 20kg.
Desirable Skills
- Background in fitness, run-club culture, supplements, sports nutrition or events. A current parkrunner or club runner would understand the audience instinctively.
- Previous experience as a brand ambassador, festival crew lead, road manager or similar tour-life role. Demonstrated ability to deliver under pressure across consecutive days.
- A social-media following in the fitness or running space (5k+) — not essential, but a strong nice-to-have. Existing UGC creators welcome.
Personality fit
- Comfortable being the senior person on the ground without daily management. You’ll have the Marketing Events Coordinator to escalate to, but a lot of decisions sit with you in the moment.
- Doesn’t need to be told what good looks like. You see a queue forming, you handle it; you see a content moment, you grab the camera.
- Energy that lasts to week 9 — the role will get harder before it gets easier.
- Loyal to the brand. We’re building Warrior into the home of creatine in the UK, and the tour is a meaningful part of that. We want people who can talk about why creatine matters and mean it.
